Development Timeline
- 1989 - Inception of Reclamation Idea
- 1992 - Quarry Hills Associates selected as developer of 540 acre parcel in city of Quincy and town of Milton –site of former landfills and quarries.
- 1997 - Quarry Hills Associates selected to remove excavated soils from Boston’s Big Dig project.
- 2000 - Golf Course architect, John Sanford, selected to design Quarry Hills course.
- 2003 - Last of 900,000 truckloads of 13 million tons of excavate received at Quincy/Milton project site.
- 2003 - Landfills capped and select quarries filled.
- 2003 - First nine holes of golf course (now called the MILTON 9) completed and made available for play.
- 2004 - Second nine holes of golf course (now called GRANITE 9) completed and made available for play.
- 2004 - Golf Digest names Granite Links “Top Ten Best New Upscale Golf Course in the County”
- 2005 - Granite Links Hosts BJ’s Charity Championship, LPGA Legends Tour
- 2006 - Clubhouse building completed.
- 2006 - Granite Links Hosts BJ’s Charity Championship, LPGA Legends Tour
- 2006 - Final nine holes of golf course (now called QUINCY 9) completed
- 2009 - Granite Links Named to Golf Digest List of "100 Greatest Public Courses in America"
- 2010 - National Golf Course Owners Association Votes Granite Links "New England Course of the Year"
- 2012 - American Society of Golf Course Architects recognizes Granite Links for Design Excellence
